The big question concerns Sol Campbell, who was again on the substitute's bench yesterday. The England centre-half hasn't started a first team game since that defeat by United in February.
Will he play at Cardiff? "It's impossible to say at this stage," said Wenger. "It's difficult to throw someone into a Cup Final if he hasn't played for a time."
Phillipe Senderos has contributed magnificently during Campbell's absence as Arsenal have conceded just two goals in eight Premiership matches.
He is just one of the future generation around whom Wenger could build another Championshipwinning team. "We now have many good youngsters and they are growing game by game," he said.
"We have reached a level that is very encouraging for the future. I've seen the signs over the last couple-of months. Ashley Cole is still a youngster, Kolo Toure is 23, Jose Reyes 21, Robin van Persie 21 and Cesc Fabregas is just 18."
The diligent, talented Fabregas was the star performer as Arsenal stamped their authority on the European Cup finalists at Highbury yesterday.
Arsenal were more dominant in the first half and after Lauren had rattled the Liverpool bar, Robert Pires scored from a free-kick after 25 minutes.
Four minutes later, Fabregas helped create Arsenal's-second when he released Pires on the left. His pass found Reyes who held off three defenders before shooting low past Dudek.
A re-shaped Liverpool responded soon after the break with a deflected free-kick from Steven Gerrard and, although they were far more positive, they lacked a cutting edge at the front.
Arsenal weathered the storm and made sure of victory when Fabregas prodded home their third goal in injury time.
