Angry Keane taunts Saints

Roy Keane was involved in an angry altercation with Southampton fans after he taunted them about their club's relegation from the Premiership.

The Manchester United captain was an unused substitute in the 2-1 win which ended the Saint's 27-year stay in the top flight. But when he strolled onto the pitch at the end of the game, he responded to abusive taunts by pointing down and waving goodbye.

Stewards quickly moved in to take the Irishman down the tunnel and away from a 500-strong group who had been calling for the resignation of Saints chairman Rupert Lowe.

A section of United's support earlier tried to invade the pitch in protest at Malcolm Glazer's £790million takeover of the club, but were held back by stewards.
