SportAnderton wants to stay at SpursAdrian Curtis|Evening Standard14 April 2012Darren Anderton says he hopes to stay at Tottenham and wants the club to reopentalks about a new contract.Anderton met with club officials in the summer to discuss an extension to his contract but nothing was decided and the player hopes talks will resume as soon as a successor to sacked Glenn Hoddle is installed.Anderton, whose contract expires at the end of the season, was linked with a move to Portsmouth during the summer.He said: "It is up to the club to come and talk to me about a new contract. It is difficult for them at the moment with the caretaker manager in charge. But I am enjoying my football and if I continue to play well then a contract will follow."If you are doing well then the club will want you to stay, and I certainly want that."
