Allen's harsh word

Martin Allen expressed surprise at referee Mark Cowburn's decision to send him to the stand during Brentford's 2-1 win at Sheffield Wednesday.

Allen said: "The fourth official informed the referee I'd sworn once. It's the first time I've ever been sent off for swearing only once."

Brentford looked up against it after Michael Turner's 19th-minute dismissal but goals from Alex Rhodes and Deon Burton salvaged the win.
