A fan's view on Hoddle

The number of stories concerning the manager's ability to motivate and even talk to the players and the continued whisperings of internal dissent at the club is of very serious concern to us.

We appreciate that we do not perhaps have the full picture of everything that is going on at the club. But as fans we look to you, now, to either back the manager 100 per cent and give him the support so desperately needed or secure a suitable replacement shortly so that he will have as many days as possible to assert his own methods and ideas and secure the players of his choice.

We are only four games into the new season and it is not the time to make a change. We made our feelings clear to the board in the summer and said that if they were going to take action they should have done it then.

It is a big season for the manager. The support has been encouraging and we will continue to back him. It is too early to talk about sacking him on results at this stage of the season. The new signings still have to gel. Maybe, it would be better to look at things at Christmas.
