Why Dad will stay a wrinkly rocker

A string of beautiful lovers proves that his craggy face is no barrier to success with the opposite sex.

And, according to his daughter Elizabeth, Sir Mick Jagger has no plans to change the way he looks.

The eldest child of the Rolling Stone's dissolved marriage to Jerry Hall revealed that her father has pledged never to go under the plastic surgeon's knife.

Her mother had made a similar promise, said the 21-year-old.

Miss Jagger, who earns £ 3million a year as a model, said: 'Dad will definitely grow old gracefully although I guess he's already well on his way. He might have one of the craggiest faces in the world but it's all his own and it makes him so recognisable. I am very proud of him and his face.

'He will never have plastic surgery and nor should he because face-lifts on men are just yuk, they're wrong.

'Neither he nor my mum will ever have plastic surgery and neither, I hope, will I.

'I think it's only okay to have cosmetic surgery if you've got a nose the size of the Himalayas. Otherwise, no.'

Miss Jagger - the face of Lancome cosmetics - also criticised the identikit appearance of many Californian women.

'Women in LA just look the same nowadays, like they all use the same surgeon,' she said.

'As a result the women all walk around with the same sucked-in look and the same glazed expression like they're in a state of permanent shock. It's ridiculous.

'I hope I never go down that route and obviously I hope that my parents never do either - but I am positive that they won't.' Miss Jagger made her candid remarks in the early hours of Monday morning after the Bafta film awards event in central London.

Fellow guests at the Grosvenor House Hotel aftershow party included Renee Zellweger, George Clooney, Ralph Fiennes, Charlize Theron and Jude Law.

Miss Jagger's 62-year- old father had been making news of his own on Saturday night by performing at a huge concert in Brazil. An estimated two million fans attended the free event on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro.
