The weekend line-up

A double bill of arthouse electro tonight as techno eccentrics Moloko, Mark Brydon and Roisin Murphy bounce into Brixton with the cool, wired sounds of their latest album Statues, which mixes beats and strings in ways that are almost as odd as Murphy's dress sense. Joining them from out of the cold is the Icelandic collective Gus Gus, whose second album Distortion hasn't generated the same excitement as their debut - they'll no doubt be showcasing their forthcoming single, Desire, featuring Ian Brown, which is out on Monday.

Lost

The legendary Lost returns this weekend with a typically strong line-up headed by Detroit's pioneering techno producer Juan Atkins (Model 5000, Cybertron). He's joined by the Motor City's Robert Hood (M.Plant) and Lost's own Steve Bicknell.

Berlin's underground is represented by Mark Ernestus and Moritz Van Oswald with dubby electronica. It's the irregular nature of Lost - anonymous venues and its exclusive line-ups - which means the night has mythic status and goes off with a bang.

Buried Treasure: Finding Our Past

From humble enthusiasts with their metal detectors to full-scale archaeological digs across the country, the joy of unearthing a slice of history is a strong lure for many. So it's some surprise that this is the first major exhibition in 20 years concentrating on various artefacts including the Mildenhall Roman silver, the Ringlemere gold cup, and other finds from Amesbury, Fishpool and Winchester.
