Seldom has such low behaviour been viewed through the eye of such an elevated classicist - perhaps not since the days of the Greeks and Romans whom Raven so adored.
If I have one quibble, it is with Raven's devotion to the minutiae of procedure in any of his chosen institutions, which can sometimes be wearying. Largely, though, that tendency is swamped by the sheer gusto of his delight in telling a good yarn.
