The Cross 10th Birthday Weekender

The Cross is celebrating its 10th birthday this month with a string of nights run in collaboration with some of its resident nights. Kicking off on Friday is the consistently great gay night Fiction, with Guy Williams, Miguel Pellitero, Malcolm Duffy, Spencer Parker, Harj, Stewart Who and the hilarious Fat Tony.

On to Saturday and it's only fitting that Seb Fontaine's Type should be part of the birthday escapades as Seb was the Cross's first in-house resident back in the days of Glitterati. Saturday should be another memorable night with Seb joined in the main Type room by the excellent Nic Fanciulli and Justin Robertson, while the Credence room boasts the MYNC Project, Sweden's funky techhouse DJ Eric Prydz and Savers. And watch out for Brighton's superb Stompa Phunk crew fresh from starting their residency at 333 in the Tunnel room.

Which brings us on to Sunday and one of London's longest running nights, the storming, deep, funky Vertigo. Once it featured a mostly Italian contingent, but now there's a real cross-section of elegant and glamorous clubbers in to quality house music and looking good. Sunday is another night not to be missed as Italian promoters Manuela D'Alonzo and Rosario Cascio bring us disc jockeys Claudio Di Rocco, Ralf, Dave Piccioni, Claudio Basile (left), Tim Sheridan, Micky Guy and Oscar Wilson. And, in true birthday stylee, the first 200 people through the doors on Sunday will receive a Vertigo CD mixed by Piccioni and Basile. See you there.
