Every one's heard of a Dyson, whether it be the vacuum cleaner or the washing machine, yet there are so many other British inventors out there who are still struggling to get their ideas onto the market and the The British Inventors Show at the Barbican is aimed at helping them.

People from all spheres of business, innovation and enterprise will be able to sound each other out.

Hundreds of inventions will be on show, like the Bench Rover for DIY enthusiasts from Ian Stuart, the Talking Potty mark 2 from Iris Whyte or the Varyflush, a project of passion for school teacher David Wilks, and just maybe the next 'Dyson' success story will be discovered.

Forget Harry Potter and his wizardry, the exhibitors at this show are the real magicians of our time.
