Straightforward, fleece-wearing Brummie Adrian Chiles spends 24 hours with English National Opera chief exec Sean Doran, seeing everything at London's "people's opera", from planning meetings to pre-performance nerves.

Chiles, a self-confessed opera-hater (the Barber of Seville once bored him "nearly to the point of dementia"), knows as much about the genre as us ordinary punters, so has to ask loads of questions. Doran, far from being elitist or condescending, answers all Chiles's queries and even sparks enthusiasm in the presenter. Blimey.
