Smile - you're on camera

If the idea of hibernating under the duvet for the rest of January seems the only thing worth doing, then the AOP Gallery might just give you a few reasons to be cheerful. Featuring some 100 photographs, taken by members of the Association Of Photographers, this determinedly upbeat exhibition offers snapshots of those happier aspects of life that warrant a bit of a knees-up.

From more traditional ideas of celebration - Christmas (including someone decorating a room in gruesome red and green wrapping paper), weddings and birthdays - to public events, such as the Notting Hill Carnival, the photographers have all attempted to capture those fleeting moments of pleasure derived from the seemingly mundane to the spectacularly flamboyant and outrageous. From fashion to documentary, from portraiture to editorial and advertising, hopefully these images will prove the thing to put the smile back on your face.
