Renee's all on her own

As a single girl, Renee Zellweger was used to braving the red carpet on her own. Now she is a newlywed, nothing has changed.

Last night as the actress arrived for the British premiere of her film Cinderella Man, there was no sign of her husband.

While co- star Russell Crowe had brought along his wife Danielle and baby son, Miss Zellweger had to put on her usual solo show.

She and her husband country singer Kenny Chesney have spent just 15 days together since they married four months ago.

He embarked on a national tour of the U.S. just after their wedding. It wound up in Kentucky on August 28, almost two weeks ago.

But he has not joined his new wife as she publicises her latest film across Europe.

Miss Zellweger, 36, arrived at the Curzon Soho cinema in London last night, a few days after she spent a week-long break in Venice on her own.

At the premiere there, she was asked where her new husband was.

She faltered before saying: 'He is just finishing work'. Last night she looked remarkably slender in a backless black Carolina Herrera dress which showed off razor-sharp shoulder blades.

Asked about the rumours her marriage was in trouble, she replied: 'I'm happily married but I don't talk about it because I want to keep my precious things precious.'

Although she has been in Europe to publicise the movie, Miss Zellweger has had plenty of time to herself. She flew out to Venice alone on August 29 - despite not having any commitments until four days later.

On Tuesday she arrived in London where she had two days off before she started her publicity duties.
