Ramsay's attempt to turn 10 celebrities into chefs has proved an uphill struggle. Barrie, 68, has been threatening to walk out since Monday, when she said: "I can't remember a night I enjoyed less in my entire life.
"I woke up this morning for the first time thinking 'I really don't want to live today'. I didn't have any confidence before but what I had went right down one of those plugholes and that was it."
It was on Monday that the amateur chefs suffered a disastrous stint at the east London restaurant, when only 32 out of 72 diners received a meal. Ramsay called the night a "f***ing disaster".
Amid the latest antics, ex-Cabinet minister Mo Mowlam left to buy a curry after sitting for two hours with no food, while rival chef Antony Worrall Thompson stormed out without a meal, saying: "They can't cope."
