Radio Egypt used to have its home at the George And Dragon, possibly the best pub in the world. Ever. Situated in the heart of Shoreditch, over the last year it established itself as the watering hole of choice for Hoxton hillbillies and gay fashion kids alike, making it possibly the only truly mixed bar in town.

But come Sunday nights, Radio Egypt changed all that by transforming the space from boozer to gay bar extraordinaire. The night has proved to be the talk of the town with crowds overflowing onto the streets on a regular basis. Now, due to massive demand, the party is relocating to the 291 Gallery, just a hop, skip and jump from its original home.

Promising to be madder and badder than its predecessor, the new Radio Egypt is set to allow hostess Satanica Pandomonia greater scope for acts of random craziness with assistance from his/her partners-in-crime Beverly Whispers and BoBella Selector. Drag queens strut, beautiful boys preen and classic tracks from the Eighties lie heavy in the smoke-filled air. Think of a modern-day Taboo with a Kids From Fame soundtrack and you won't be wide of the mark.
