Peaches Geldof is red-faced after snub from N-Dubz

We hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but Peaches Geldof's latest quest for love has suffered an embarrassing knockback. The 20-year-old socialite declared her love very publicly for N-Dubz star Dappy, but when asked his thoughts, the hip hop singer replied: "Who is she?"

Peaches, who has dated a string of rockers — including Faris Rotter and of course her ex-hubby Max Drummey (not to mention comedian and wannabe rock star Noel Fielding) — is used to getting her own way when it comes to, well, everything actually.

So this rebuff is bound to leave her red-faced. She laid her heart on the line with a series of Tweets, including: "Dappy from N-Dubz is so fit," as well as, "Dreaming about Dappy". Sir Bob's daughter even went so far as to imagine Dappy going to her flat and finding a shrine built in his honour.

She added: "Picture the scene: Dappy enters the living room, [my friend] Fifi is hastily clearing remnants of the shrine up. Suddenly, a pic of Dappy floats past. Dappy stares at the photo of him, it's an old shot of N-Dubz, he is posing in his Peruvian hat. What the hell is this?!' he asks, shocked... I look away, red-faced and ashamed. He looks in the corner and discovers the rest of the semi-destroyed shrine, he runs out of the house."

But it seems Peaches' shrine is safe. A source close to the hip hop star said: "He has no idea who she is, and let's just say Peaches is about as far as you could get from Dappy's ideal girl."

We can believe the second part of that statement but "he has no idea who she is"? Has this guy been living on the dark side of the moon for two years, or is he merely trying to be too cool for school?
