Oscars exposed

It would be one of the biggest upsets in Oscars history.

Bookies yesterday stopped taking bets on odds-on favourite Jamie Foxx being crowned best actor for his acclaimed role as Ray Charles.

But Tinseltown's favourite clairvoyant reckons Jamie Foxx will have the statuette seized by rank outsider Don Cheadle, star of Hotel Rwanda.

Psychic Maurice Amdur has 'read' hundreds of Hollywood stars' future.

He forecast Catherine Zeta Jones would marry Michael Douglas six years before she did, and predicted Oscars for Adrien Brody and Nicole Kidman before their 2003 triumphs.

But film buffs may raise their eyebrows at his snub for Foxx's turn in Ray - including, perhaps, Cheadle.

Only this week Cheadle looked into his own crystal ball and told Metro the first thing to go through his head if he won this Sunday would be 'Jamie Foxx's fist'.

'I don't think I'm going to have to worry, because they're going to say his name,' he added.

Yet Mr Amdur, who made his name in LA but now lives in North London, insists the numerology of Cheadle's birthdate means an Academy Award. 'Jamie Foxx is everyone's favourite but I just don't get that feeling about him winning,' he said. 'His numerology says no.'

Mr Amdur believes Annette Bening will take best actress for Being Julia, and Morgan Freeman will pick up his first Oscar for his supporting role in Million Dollar Baby.

He also predicts Laura Linney will get best supporting actress for Kinsey, while Million Dollar Baby will be named best film.

'Actors are always asking me if they'll win an Oscar,' he added.
