Olympic medallist Rebecca Adlington is expecting her first child

Rebecca Adlington has revealed that she is expecting her first child.

The 25-year-old Olympic swimmer is pregnant with her first child with husband of three months Harry Needs.

Rebecca - who is due to give birth in June - revealed that she intends to have a water birth, on recommendation from her friends.

She told Hello!: "A few friends have recommended it. I would like the birth to be as natural as possible, but you can't really plan it, can you."

The Olympic gold medallist also revealed the due date for her child, and where the baby was conceived.

She said: "The due date is June 4 so, yes, we must have conceived on the first day of our honeymoon in Venice."

Rebecca’s husband Harry joked that they wouldn’t be taking inspiration from the Beckhams, and naming the child after the city.
