Nick Knowles' girlfriend reveals she didn't like him when they met

Nick Knowles’ girlfriend Katie Dadzie has revealed she was not attracted to the TV star when they first met.

Business owner Katie, 33, also addressed her 28-year age gap with the presenter, 60.

Katie, who has been dating the DIY SOS star for two years, said she “didn’t like him” when they first met at a kids’ group attended by their children.

She told The Sun: “We just knew each other as our kids were friends.

“I’m very shy and quiet, while Nick is quite extroverted and a complete chatterbox. He didn’t give me a lot of opportunity to talk. I didn’t know a lot about him.

“But when we were both single we went for coffee and he let me talk, eventually, and we had a lot in common. We both love cooking and have an interest in history.

“During lockdown we spent a lot of time chatting over the phone, which meant we could really get to know each other.

“The more we went out the more I realised what a nice guy he is as he’s constantly bombarded by fans and always has time for a picture.”

Katie has daughters Savannah, eight, and Alex, five, from a previous relationship.

She met Nick at a kids’ group attended by her child and his seven-year-old son Eddie.

She joked that Nick has a “Peter Plan complex” and acts “like a teenage boy”, adding that the key to their successful relationship is having their own homes and independence.

It is not the first time Nick has dated a younger woman. He split with Emily Hallinan in 2020 when she was 26, after his second marriage to Jessica Rose Moor, 33, ended in 2016.
