New Blood carries the subtitle New Young Artists, New Acquisitions. The wording, echoing his earliest seminal displays, reveals an organic evolution. He continues fossicking for talent through art schools and the onehitwonder galleries of the East End. At the same time, he persists with his "classics". After Damien Hirst's much-publicised buy-back, he retains such key pieces as the shark, and continues to display one of Hirst's most recent Fly Paintings in the corridor by the Greatest Hits rotunda. The relationship between him and the biggest YBA is far from over.
