Naomi sues Botox king

Supermodel Naomi Campbell is suing a cosmetic surgeon dubbed the King of Botox for more than £50,000.

The 35-year-old, known for her fiery temper, has instructed lawyers to start High Court proceedings against surgeon Dr Jean-Louis Sebagh.

It is not clear whether she has been treated by the Frenchman but her claim relates to two articles in Hello! magazine which gave the impression that she endorsed him.

The articles carried large pictures of the model and stated categorically that she was one of his clients.

Campbell has reportedly denied having any kind of plastic surgery, saying: "I don't need it because 'black doesn't crack'. My grandmother has fantastic genes and only about one wrinkle."

Gideon Benaim, from her legal firm, Schillings, said: "Our client Miss Naomi Campbell does not endorse Dr Sebagh's products."

Dr Sebagh pioneered Botox injections in the early Nineties, as well as collagen, vitamin and antioxidant injections. He is famous for his eyelifts and has also launched a range of skincare products with model Cindy Crawford called Meaningful Beauty.

Dr Sebagh has a home in Paris but works three days a week at a clinic in Wimpole Street. His clients include Madonna, Elle Macpherson and Meg Ryan.

A source close to Campbell said: "The articles in Hello! give the impression that she endorses his products, which she does not. That is why she has launched a pre-action disclosure."

Her lawyers made the application, which is usually issued in order to force defendants to produce documents or records before an actual claim form is issued. In her application Campbell is said to be seeking at least £50,000.
