Nancy upset as Sven sells home

She has a book in the pipeline and a publicity drive being organised by the company who look after Sir Paul McCartney and Westlife.

So Nancy Dell'Olio was, according to sources, less than happy when Sven Goran Eriksson announced he was putting their London home on the market.

'Nancy loves the house and was really upset when Sven said he wanted to sell it,' said a source close to the Italian lawyer.

'Nancy has a whole media career planned and she is writing a book about her life which she hopes will be a bit hit in the UK and she was hoping the Regents Park house would be her base. She has bought lots of furniture and other bits and bobs for the house and she has been moaning she doesn't know what to do with it now.'

The house is being advertised on the website of estate agents Knight Frank, complete with pictures of the 120ft garden. Described as 'an exquisitely presented home', the Grade II listed building, which was designed by John Nash, has three bedrooms, two reception rooms and two bathrooms.

Bought for £2,550,000 five years ago, it is on the market for £3million.

Eriksson, 58, has decided to sell the house after agreeing to leave his £5million a year job as coach of the England football team once this summer's World Cup is over.

Miss Dell'Olio, 43, wanted him to keep the house, having told friends she wants to make England her home. But he has said he will go wherever the work is.

He is said to be in talks with at least one English club and has been linked to Real Madrid. Sources say he is concerned that he faces a drop in earnings.

'Nancy does not have much choice in the matter,' said the source. 'It is Sven's house and Sven's money and he can do what he likes.'
