Mr C on London town

I've lived in Holloway all my life. My parents are here, my family are here, my brother lives just up the road and I just love being near home with all my family.

What's your favourite London restaurant?

For a fun night out and for a noisy vibrant time - if you want your dinner knocked as you're eating - try Sketch. It's fun, full of people, there's lots of art on the walls and if you go for lunch there's great shopping around that area.

There's a different restaurant for every different style in London, that's one of the beautiful things about it, it's the culture capital of the world.

Where would you take a London tourist?

I'd definitely check out the galleries, there's some beautiful ones and especially visit the contemporary art like at the Saatchi Gallery and on the south bank are always worth a look. I don't spend as much time there as I should but it's like that when you're a Londoner, we tend to take our city for granted.

We've got the most beautiful architecture in the world and the best parks in the world. There's live classical music on the bandstand at Kentwood House in Hampstead, it's a great place to go out with your friends and a bottle of Pimms.

What would you do if you were mayor for the day?

"For a start I'd stop them building that Arsenal stadium that's right outside my living room window. I don't like that at all, being a Chelsea fan!

I'd improve the transport services. I think what they've done with the buses and the cameras is a good thing because it does keep people out. But now they've really got to sort out the Tubes, and the overground transport situation as well. Especially in South London where the situation is pretty dire. Until we get that sorted out we’re not going to get the Olympics.
