Held aloft by four young hunks in tuxedos, Coleen McLoughlin recreates one of the most famous looks in showbusiness.

Given that her predecessors in the pose were Marilyn Monroe and Madonna, she could hardly have chosen two harder acts to follow.

But the girl previously known as the Queen of the Chavs carried it off in style - and suggested that she just might be blessed with some star quality of her own.

Miss McLoughlin, 19, wore a white Kruszynska dress and £200,000 worth of diamonds for the picture, to publicise tonight's biggest- ever European lottery jackpot.

It was a dazzling take- off of Madonna's Material Girl video - which itself paid homage to Monroe's performance in Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend, from the film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.

The photoshoot gave the teenage Liverpudlian a chance to show off her slimline new figure - the result of a stringent diet and exercise regime.

More importantly, it was one of her first assignments as a celebrity in her own right rather than just the fiancee of millionaire footballer Wayne Rooney - and the £10,000 fee gave her a chance to earn some shopping money of her own.

But she was clearly not overawed by the prospect, infuriating publicists and photographers alike by arriving an hour late then spending another hour having her hair and make-up done.

'Coleen was as pleased as Punch to have landed the contract with Camelot because it is one of the first things she has really done as Coleen McLoughlin the person - not just Coleen, the girlfriend of Wayne Rooney,' said a lottery insider.

'But for someone who prides herself on being a down-to- earth Scouser, arriving late and then insisting on an hour's session for hair and make-up did seem a little diva-ish.
