Sundays at 333 are starting to become a special occasion. The apres roast-dinner delights of Sick Love's Electro Heaven and the dubled Seven Clash, are followed this weekend by the second instalment from Lo Recordings, Lo Quality. Best known for clanging space-age techno odysseys and a tumbler full of peculiar freaknik noises, the label has ridden the tidal-wave changes of dance music since 1995 and is still original. Squarepusher, Aphex Twin, Luke Vibert and Red Snapper have all, at some point, been part of the family, with upcoming releases promised from the latter two. Newer recruits The Chap, with their ode to punk-funk soundclash, herald Lo's new dawn. Everything from electro pop and soothing jazzaludes to brittle minimalist beats and screaming housey numbers are to be expected from Ed DMX, WingDing Soundsystem, Smilex and the Lo Recordings Soundsystem. Old Street; brace yourself.
