The waxwork, inspired by the Australian singer and actress?s raunchy stage routines, figures as part of an exhibit which breathes suggestively at passers-by and encourages young visitors to learn steps from her dance routines.

But, unveiled on the day that the new Archbishop of Canterbury has attacked the way children are corrupted by consumerism and are exposed to overtly sexual adult themes, the effigy of Kylie is certain to raise further questions about the boundaries of acceptability for attractions intended for family entertainment.

Visitors to the London museum also have an opportunity to learn how to pole dance at the Fever exhibition, named after Kylie?s most recent album and tour. And a team of dancers puts the public through their paces at the venue. Wannabe popstars will see how they measure up to the real thing as their efforts are relayed by camera onto a video wall alongside performance footage of Kylie.

Jessica Hill, 11, from the Sylvia Young Stage School, said: ?It?s absolutely wicked. I want to follow in Kylie?s footsteps and this is such a cool way to do it.?

The model took five months to make, longer than usual as never before has a waxwork exposed so much flesh to the public. Dressed in replicas of Kylie?s clothes, she whispers, ?I can?t get you out of my head,? and breathes scented breath on passers-by.
