Kate's back with her ex

He was the ex who never really went away.

After Jefferson Hack's relationship with Kate Moss started coming apart a year ago, he bided his time while she was linked with a succession of other men.

There was the high-profile romance with actor Daniel Craig and reports of stolen kisses with Jackass star Johnny Knoxville. Jack Nicholson even registered an interest.

But now, 32-year-old Hack's patience has been rewarded - Miss Moss has agreed to get back with him.

Magazine owner Hack, the father of the supermodel's two-year- old daughter Lila, has told friends that they are to give their romance another go after spending a relaxing family Christmas together.

Sources close to the pair have described how they 'fell back in love' after a romantic week at Miss Moss's £2million farm in the Cotswolds hamlet of Little Faringdon. 'They have done lots of talking about their relationship and realised that they are much happier together than apart,' said a source close to Hack.

'Jefferson never really fell out of love with Kate but he felt that she still was searching for something that he could not give her.

'But after being apart for a year, in which they have had the chance to date other people, they have realised that they are happiest together.

'They are like a pair of newlyweds. They can't keep their hands off each other and they both seem so happy.'

The friend added that the couple are likely to seal their love with another
baby. 'Obviously they don't want to wait long to give Lila a brother or sister,' he said. 'Even when they weren't together Kate was considering making Jefferson a father again, and now they are an item again it is likely they will not wait for long.'

Miss Moss, 30, and Hack dated for four years after he interviewed her for his magazine Dazed and Confused and wooed her with the line: 'You smell of wee.'

Lila was born in September 2002, but while Hack repeatedly asked Miss Moss to be his wife she refused, saying she had no intention of being tied down.
