Kate back in with Burberry

Nine months after Burberry bosses made a big show of stripping the Kate Moss posters from their flagship store in Knightsbridge, she is back as the face of the fashion house.

Hot on the heels of news that the model will not face police charges over cocaine claims, Burberry today unveiled its autumn/winter campaign - featuring Moss centre-stage.

In a Sixties-style lace coat, she stares defiantly out to camera, as if to say: "I told you I'd be back." She is joined by model Stella Tennant with daughter Jasmine, and Otis and Isaac Ferry, sons of Roxy Music's Bryan, who were photographed by Mario Testino.

First hints of a comeback for Moss, 32, came in February, when she took a front row seat at a Burberry Prorsum show to mark its 150th anniversary. "Kate is part of the Burberry family and it is only natural that she should be here," a spokesman said then.

This, however, marks a very public return to the fold. It comes only two months afterMoss won a £500,000 Calvin Klein campaign.

She also signed new deals with Stella McCartney, Virgin Mobile and Longchamps, and her fortune is estimated to have soared to £9.4 million.
