Jude steps out with Sienna

Jude Law and Sienna Miller took tentative steps to try to get their relationship back on track as they went for a walk with their dog and his children.

The couple were spotted together for the first time since their marriage plans were rocked by the revelation that the movie star had an affair with his children's nanny.

But their appearance, with Law wearing ill-fitting and ill-matched clothes and several days' stubble, and Miss Miller looking pale and dishevelled in a black bohostyle backless dress, seemed to suggest that they are still far from happy.

During their short walk on a sunlit Hampstead Heath, 23-year- old Miss Miller spent most of her time on her mobile phone, while 32-year- old Law strode on ahead of her.

Sources close to the actress say she still has not decided whether to take him back, while he has lost a stone in weight over fears that he has lost her.

'It has been a totally traumatic time for both of them,' said one source. 'Jude has just returned from holiday at his parents' home in France, where he was in such a state that his mother even thought about calling a doctor to see him.

'He hasn't been sleeping or eating. Even though he was supposed to be relaxing with his children, he had a horrible time, because he was constantly trying to phone Sienna and she kept on putting the phone down on him. But Sienna has been exactly the same. She is crying all the time and can't decide whether to take him back. She is driving everyone a bit mad, as they are telling her she needs to make a decision and stick to it.'

The couple went for a stroll with Law's two youngest children from his marriage to Sadie Frost - along with a nanny.

Earlier, they had met for an hour at the home they used to share in Primrose Hill, North London.

But they stayed on the heath for only ten minutes before getting back into their car. Law is believed to have been saying goodbye to his children - who were due to fly to Ibiza yesterday to join their mother, who is on holiday there.

Nanny Daisy Wright revealed four weeks ago how she had an affair lasting several weeks with Law while she was with him and one of his children in New Orleans.
