Clapham's latte-supping, three-wheeler-buggy brigade are about to have their weekend rudely disturbed. Sunday heralds the melon-twisting hedonistic bongo cabaret of Madchester's finest monkeys The Happy Mondays, as Turnmills's Get Loaded night ups sticks to the outdoors, hauling resident DJ Shaun Ryder with them. A Who's Who? of the baggy-panted, floppy-fringed indie godfathers, the Monday's freaky dancer Bez showcases his new band Domino Bones, while New Order's Peter Hook and Andy Rourke, Mike Joyce (The Smiths), Inspiral Carpets' Clint Boon and the Hacienda's Graeme Park are among the DJs. Let's hope Shaun and Bez turn up in one piece. The day before the Northern onslaught is South West Four from hardhouse promoters Heat Events. Swinging smoothly between trance, sultry US and progressive house, it's brought together Sasha, Erick Morillo, X Press 2, Tall Paul and BK for ten hours of big, crowd-pleasing tunes.

Eat Your Own Ears are behind some of the most ice-cool events in the capital at the moment. In fact, it could be said that they are the haute couture of leftfield. Considering their work with Domino Records and Rough Trade, taking the Sonar festival by storm in June, it would be rude not to make an appearance at their third birthday. They've pulled a luxury selection out the bag with major players including Four Tet's Kieran Hebden and Luke Vibert (Warp) plying the speakers with mushy broken beats, warped electronica and glamour disco. Brooklyn's Ratatat will be playing their excitable blend of pacy electrofunk and rocks-off riffs live and Regal's latest signing Clor will be joining them alongside Eat Your Own Ears DJs.

The craze for all things Brazilian, from Haviana flip flops and well-baked tans to football and cachaca, can be indulged at Forty Degrees, a new monthly celebrating all that is special about the South American nation. As the official after-party for the Regent's Park football tournament 'Pelad"o Jungle' during the day, the theme will be distinctly sporty, with an astro-turf-styled red carpet and free whistles to set the mood. Spicy Latino beats from traditional styles to d'n'b and house-led sounds come courtesy of live bands Trio Azevedo and jazz funkers Pororoca, and a melting pot of DJs including Ade Harley, with Gilles Peterson set to make a guest appearance in October. The night is the brainchild of Michael Biggs, son of Great Train Robber Ronnie Biggs who, of course, escaped to Brazil. Caipirinha anyone?
