'I'm insecure about my looks'

It's hard to believe that Natasha Richardson feels less than confident about her appearance.

But the 42-year-old actress still sees herself as the chubby teenager she once was. She says that as a child her father, film director Tony Richardson, made her feel she was not beautiful enough, while her mother, Vanessa Redgrave, was busy acting and supporting the Workers Revolutionary Party.

After her parents divorced and she discovered her father was bisexual, she began comfort eating and, at 17, weighed 111/2 stone.

Now, however, she is looking better than ever and showed off her enviable figure to promote her film The White Countess, in which she appears with both her mother and aunt, Lynn Redgrave.
