For Gillick, it is less important that we consider his works for their formal qualities as for how they might modify our experiences in the gallery. "It's art-lite, sugarfree," Gillick suggests. Fabricated out of aluminium and Plexiglas, simply bolted together with neither illusion nor artifice, the works become sites in the gallery, around or within which something can take place - anything, even a planned series of yoga sessions.
