Holly Valance quashes rumours of rift with Kara Tointon

Holly Valance, the Australian singer-actress, has quashed suggestions of a rift between her and Kara Tointon by posting a Twitter picture showing the pair looking happy together.

Rumours arose last month that Tointon, last year's Strictly Come Dancing winner, was far from content with the amount of time Valance was spending with her boyfriend, Artem Chigvintsev, while training for live shows.

It also emerged that Chigvintsev had moved out of Tointon's home following a series of rows.

But Valance has rubbished reports of her and Tointon being in dispute by posting a picture of them with smiles across their faces and Tointon with her arms around Valance.

The image was accompanied by a message which reads: "Celebrating a fun show!!! Awesome night! My feet hurt! Ahahaha."

The message came hours after Valance said that Tointon had been supportive of her going on the Strictly show.

Valance said: "Kara has been giving me lots of advice. It's not long ago that she did it and she knows what I am feeling like. That's been so brilliant."

Of Chigvintsev, Valance said: "We get on great and he is a fantastic teacher."

"But when you are suddenly spending time with a random man, it's important that everything is above board."

Tointon met Chigvintsev while dancing with the Russian during last year's show.
