Have Wayne and Coleen made up?

Wayne Rooney is trying to save his relationship with his childhood sweetheart after claims that he cheated on her with a prostitute.

The couple are said to have spent "the last 24 hours" talking after Coleen McLoughlin reacted furiously to reports that he paid £140 for sex.

A source close to the star said: "They spent last night together. They're trying to save their relationship. Wayne is trying to get things back on track."

Today the 18-year-olds, who have been engaged for 10 months, appeared in public after it was reported that Coleen had ended their relationship following a "monumental bust-up."

They kissed as he left her mother's home in Croxteth, Liverpool, where they had spent the night.
