The London Aquarium is celebrating the 10th anniversary of World Oceans Day, with WOW!!, an activity-packed weekend for the whole family.

World Oceans Day was declared in 1992 with the objective of raising people's awareness about the role the oceans play in our every day lives.

The event will be attended by a range of conservation agencies, including Reefology, The Marine Stewardship Council, Project Aware, Orca and the Environment Agency. There will be a series of talks for adults and children highlighting the threats facing this vast eco-system.

Competitions and activities will be held for younger visitors. There will also be a raffle to help raise funds for the Marine Conservation Society's 'Semporna Islands Project' and the Historical Diving Society will be giving demonstrations and telling visitors what diving was like before the invention of the aqua-lung.
