Diana crash fears hound Nicole

Nicole Kidman fears she could die in a car chase like Princess Diana as photographers hound her.

The Oscar-winning actress has applied for an injunction to keep two freelance cameramen away from herself and her children.

She will ask a court in Sydney today to issue the order after saying she has been terrified by a number of recent incidents.

Miss Kidman, 37, claims the photographers chased her as she drove to a reunion with her family last weekend. She also told police of her concerns about a listening device found outside her Sydney harbourside home.

The Hollywood star's lawyers will claim in court that the continued harassment went beyond normal media interest on several occasions when she was in Australia.

They will say she fears she could be hounded to death by Australian paparazzi, whom she has branded as 'the worst in the world'.

They are said to have made her a virtual prisoner in her mansion in Sydney's Darling Point.

Well- known paparazzo Jamie Fawcett refused last night to confirm he was the man captured on security video tape planting a listening device near Miss Kidman's home. His lawyer said the orders attempting to ban him and a second, unnamed, photographer would be ' vigorously defended'.

But Miss Kidman, who has worn wigs and adopted a false accent to try to shake off photographers, will argue that enough is enough.

She has told police that she feared she would be forced off the road on Sunday when her car was chased by Mr Fawcett and another photographer.

She claims they swerved on to the wrong side of the road, ran red lights and she and her driver feared they would be involved in a serious accident.

'This continued for the entire journey, she believing she and her driver were going to be involved in a serious motor vehicl e accident,' says a cour t statement.

'She has cancelled arrangements for her children to stay at her home given her fears for their safety while travelling in a vehicle at this time.'
