Come shake the whole

One of my favourite club nights returns on Saturday after their recent sixth birthday antics. It's one of the capital's messiest monthlies and it's been rocking ever since their launch at the George IV in Brixton. Highlights over the years have included live artists Hakan Lidbo, the Detroit Grand Pubahs and Crazy Penis, plus some superb DJs such as Ivan Smagghe and Danny Wang. My highlight has to be the infamous Jeep Girlz DJing naked on New Year's Eve in 1998 - classic!

Saturday once again sees resident duo Stan Fontan and Ewan Pearson behind the decks. Stan has been resident at Come Shake The Whole since day one, and Ewan is remix king of the moment. They have been the driving force in steering the night's music focus of twisted yet soulful electro and house.
Joining the boys will be New York's Maurice Fulton and live act Mu who is Maurice's wife. If you've never seen her perform live before get ready for a spectacle - she's a great girl who literally throws herself around the stage singing and wailing. Or as promoter Lulu Le Vay puts it, 'a mentalist who often looks like a Christmas decoration'.
