When Coleen McLoughlin stripped down to a bikini on holiday recently and revealed a marvellous new toned body, it was the perfect advertisement for her best-selling fitness DVD.

But it seems Miss McLoughlin owes her slender silhouette to more than just strenuous workouts and a strict diet.

The 19-year-old fiancèe of soccer star Wayne Rooney has let slip that she is also a fan of a bizarre new technique of fat reduction which involves being ironed out with suction pads mounted on rollers.

She spoke for the first time of the procedure - which has helped her lose a stone in the past year - in her weekly magazine column.

'It's nice to get a bit of praise from my post-fitness DVD body in the papers,' she tells readers of her Closer column.

'I'm glad all the exercise is paying off, but I've still got a bit of cellulite I'm not happy with. I go for regular endemology sessions - special non-surgical procedures - that are meant to help get rid of that.'

The 'endemology' Miss McLoughlin speaks of is in fact 'endermologie'.

It involves dressing in a body stocking and having areas affected by cellulite worked up and down with a hand-held roller containing a powerful vibrating vacuum pump.

Manufacturers claim the process stretches and weakens the fibrous tissues attached to the layers of skin under the surface and so breaks down the fat cells.

It is also meant to stimulate localised blood and lymph circulation and increase production of collagen and elastin, which make the skin more flexible and supple.

Endermologie is claimed to be the only method approved by the American Food And Drugs Administration to tackle cellulite.

But quite what Miss McLoughlin's army of admirers who have been snapping up her fitness video 'Coleen McLoughlin - Brand New Body Workout' since Christmas will think of her secret suction sessions is anyone's guess.

For while the teenager - who is said to receive £100,000 a month spending money from Manchester United and England star Rooney - no doubt happily pays £60 per half-hour endermologie session, it is unlikely her followers would find that kind of money so easily.

Miss McLoughlin's admission comes at the end of her 'Welcome to my World' column in the magazine. But strangely, she fails to mention the technique in an accompanying interview about her weight loss.

In that piece, she simply puts her slimmer figure down to a combination of exercise, healthy eating and drinking plenty of water.

'I've been eating so much more healthily since I started my diet last year. I'm drinking two litres of water a day which helps you slim and prevent cellulite,' she reveals.

'I always try to eat breakfast as it kick-starts the metabolism, and I've been trying to eat lots of fresh vegetables and cut down on calorific sauces and takeaways.'

She adds: 'I'm concentrating on a different part of my body in each session, such as my stomach or legs. I've paid a lot of attention to my stomach with lots of sit-ups.'
