Coleen's f***in' fur disaster

Even for Coleen McLoughlin - often a fashion disaster area - it was quite an achievement.

Stepping out to do some Christmas shopping in Liverpool, she managed to offend good manners and the animal rights lobby by wearing an £800 designer bodywarmer.

The garment, by the American label Dsquared, was not only emblazoned with the words 'F***in Freezing' ( circled and censored in picture), it was also trimmed with real coyote fur.

Miss McLoughlin, 18-year-old fiancèe of soccer star Wayne Rooney, is believed to have bought it during a shopping trip to New York in October when her £15,000 spree famously left her with an import tax fine of £3,000 as she landed back in Britain. Last night, she was unavailable for comment.

But the anti-fur campaign People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals said: 'It's appalling that anyone should want to drape themselves in a dead animal like she has done.

'Fashion is supposed to be fun and there are plenty of fake fur alternatives which look just as good as the real thing.'
