Chemical Brothers

One of my favourite venues in London plays host to a very special party on Saturday night. Turnmills is getting set to host a piece of history when the Chemical Brothers join up with the Glint crew to celebrate 10 years of rocking the dancefloor. The last time Tom and Ed partied with Glint they sold out the event three weeks in advance, still a record for this Clerkenwell institution.

Saturday sees the boys launching their new album, Singles 93-03, a collection of tracks from their legendary albums Exit Planet Dust, Dig Your Own Hole and Surrender, plus two brand new tunes - a collaboration with the Flaming Lips, 'The Golden Path', and 'Get Yourself High' featuring hip-hop star K-OS. Watch out too for the DVD which includes live footage and videos courtesy of seminal directors Spike Jonze and Michel Gondry.

Back at Turnmills meanwhile, Saturday sees the duo joined by top Manchester boy Richie Moonboots, Frank Tope, Butch Cassidy of the Platinum Finger acclaim, The Sunblest Kids and Glint ressie and star of the future Nathan Detroit. Tom and Ed are currently working hard on their new studio album which is due for release in late 2004. All I can say is that I have had a sneak preview and it will be well worth the wait.
