Charlotte Church: Fallen Angel

It's not the first time Charlotte Church has been nursing a sore head - but on this occasion the cause was more than just too much alcohol.

The 19-year- old singer, who was partying at London nightspots until 4am Tyesterday, stumbled and banged her face as she tried to get out of her chauffeur-driven car.

The embarrassing incident happened as Miss Church, once called the Voice of an Angel, was out on the town with her 23-year- old boyfriend Gavin Henson, the clean cut golden boy of Welsh rugby.

His managers fear their relationship will tarnish his image. And his girlfriend's antics in the early hours are unlikely to have helped matters.

The couple, who have been nicknamed the Posh and Becks of Wales, decided to hit the nightspots after Henson was booked for an appearance on the Sky show Soccer AM on Saturday morning.

The singer and a group of her girlfriends followed him to London on Saturday afternoon.

The girls' night out started at The Collection bar and restaurant in South Kensington, where she and her friends dined and drank until close to midnight.

Henson started his evening out at the Embassy nightclub in Piccadilly with some of his rugby friends.

The couple then met up at the new Leicester Square nightclub Penthouse, where they were spotted dancing and swaying to the music.

Miss Church was the first to leave the club at 1.30am and, with her girlfriends, was taken to the Kabaret nightclub in Soho, where Elizabeth Jagger was recently embarrassingly filmed drunkenly groping George Best's son Calum.

It was while Miss Church was getting out of her car that the increasingly unsteady singer slipped and fell head first against the door frame.
