Victoria's Secret denies plan to drop 'difficult' Miranda Kerr

Following reports the 29-year-old star had been let go because of a "difficult reputation", executives at the luxury lingerie company insisted they had “no plans” to stop working with Kerr, and that she has already been invited to walk in a New York runway show in November.

"Miranda Kerr is one of the best models in the history of the business - and easily one of the most popular," Victoria’s Secret president Ed Razek told Vogue.

"She is also a consummate professional. Any rumours to the contrary are simply untrue.

"While her international commitments have kept her away from us more than we'd like over the past few years, she will always be an Angel to me," Razek added.

"We have no plans to stop working with her. In fact, I've already invited her to walk the runway in this year's fashion show and, happily, she's agreed."

Earlier reports suggested Kerr's $1 million, three-year contract would not be renewed.

An insider suggested the model, who is married to actor Orlando Bloom and has a two-year-old son, Flynn, had a “difficult reputation” which led to her being dropped as one of the main faces of the lingerie brand.

A source told UsMagazine.com: "She can be difficult at shoots and appearances. She's not very timely. She's standoffish with the rest of the girls."

"They can still use her for catalogue, where she will get a day rate, but she doesn't have to be an Angel to do that," another source said. They suggested Kerr was “not a big seller” for the company, compared to some of her counterparts such as 24-year-old Candice Swanepoel.
