She's back! Cheryl Cole 'very excited' to rejoin X Factor judging panel
Cheryl Cole is to make a dramatic comeback, rejoining the judging panel for The X Factor, it was announced today.
The singer, 30, was a judge from series five to seven, winning the competition in 2008 with Alexandra Burke and a year later with Joe McElderry.
She parted ways with the UK series after leaving with Simon Cowell to set up the US version, only to be dropped after one episode because American TV executives feared viewers would not understand her Geordie accent.
Cole fell out with Cowell over her axing, although the pair later set aside their differences. Last night she posted a picture on Instagram showing her throttling the music mogul.
She said: “I’m very happy and excited to be returning to The X Factor. I’m inspired and ready to find new talent and potential pop stars.”
