The 'Blurred Lines' hitmaker and wife Paula Patton recently separated after nine years of marriage, and his dad Alan Thicke says his famous son is channelling his heartbreak into new music.
Speaking to 'Entertainment Tonight Canada', Thicke said: "They're doing great and Robin is pouring himself into the musical artistry.
"There will be a fabulous album coming out within months... he's almost finished it."
It has been speculated that Patton is willing to give Thicke - with who she has three-year-old son Julian - another chance if he "proves" himself to be a good husband and father, but 'Growing Pains' actor Thicke-senior is unsure what the future holds for the pair.
Asked if he thinks they will reunite, he replied: "They're grown-ups. I wouldn't bet on them one way or another."
