You could be forgiven for having stars in your eyes when visiting Berkeley Homes's new Artisan Quarter courtyard development in Kensal Green. Not only do nearby residents include Jade Jagger, Stella McCartney, Bella Freud and Eddie Izzard, but the adjoining William IV pub boasts Madonna and Kylie Minogue as regulars. "There's a recording studio up the road and so pop stars are always popping in," explains Berkeley, which has onebedroom flats for £320,000 and twobedroom town houses for £525,000.

Society beauty Princess Tamara Czartoryski-Bourbon has rented a £495-a-week Earls Court flat through Chard Lettings. The first-floor two-bedroom property has a suitably groovy decor, including wooden floors throughout and granite kitchen worktops. The party-loving daughter of a Polish prince hopes to follow in the Nike steps of Gabby Yorath and become a TV sports presenter.

Award-winning actress Tara Fitzgerald, who shot to fame as the nude nymphet in Channel 4's The Camomile Lawn in 1992, is on the move. After the recent collapse of her two-year marriage to actor-director Johnny Sharian, she has deserted the marital flat in Earls Court. "I'm having some time for myself and hunting for my own flat," says Tara, who was brought up in South Kensington. "Obviously, I've had to move out, so I'm looking in Chelsea. It seems to be a fun area." A large two-bedroom flat near The Beach in trendy SW10 would cost Tara between £350,000 and £700,000, according to May & Co.

Television mind-reader Derren Brown is joining the star trek to Marylebone. "He's looking for a three-bedroom flat with good entertaining space," says Kay & Co. His budget? "North of £500,000." Croydon-born Brown, winner of a Silver Rose award at the 2003 Montreux TV Festival, calls himself "an expert in psychological magic". Next month he will play Russian Roulette "live" on TV. The Marylebone set includes Madonna, Noel Gallagher and Viscount Linley.
