Leonardo DiCaprio planning a future in theatre?

Wolf of Wall Street star to think about theatre roles after awards season ends

He has been a star of the cinema screen for nearly two decades but Leonardo DiCaprio is planning a future in theatre, according to an interview with the former Titanic star.

Speaking to the Daily Mail DiCaprio said that it was something he had been thinking about for some time and had even started looking at scripts for his on-stage bow.

He told the newspaper: "I have thought about theatre on and off over the years but other things keep getting in the way. Maybe now's the time."

He added: “I've actually been looking at a bunch plays and stuff. I would love to do it."

However, the actor says that any decision on his acting career would have to wait until the end of the awards season.

He said: "I'm going to get all of this - the awards and travelling - over with and maybe, just maybe, there will be a play."

It might be a busy month for DiCaprio, the 39-year-old has been nominated for a number of awards, including an Oscar best actor nomination for his role as Jordan Belfort in this year’s smash hit The Wolf of Wall Street.
