While many praised Lady Gaga’s David Bowie tribute as a triumph, others weren’t so impressed with the performance.

The late star’s son Duncan Jones posted a cryptic tweet following the singer’s Grammys performance on Sunday night, suggesting that he wasn’t a fan.

Sharing the dictionary definition of the word Gaga, the 44-year-old wrote:

“Overexcited or irrational, typically as a result of infatuation or excessive enthusiasm; mentally confused." Damn it! What IS that word!?.”

Many fans thought that the performance was one of the highlights of the evening and a fitting tribute to the British star, but some were quick to criticise.

A number of viewers took to Twitter to blast the fact that the performance cut straight to the star’s advert for Intel.

“That was disgusting. She used what should have been a tribute to sell herself and Intel,” wrote one viewer.
