Children confusing Great British Bake Off star Mary Berry for royalty
Mary Berry may be TV royalty – but it seems she is being confused for actual royalty.
The Great British Bake Off star is being confused for the Queen by young fans of the BBC One show.
Some 500 children aged three to 10 were surveyed by baking decoration specialist Cake Angels on their baking interests with 40 per cent thinking soggy bottom loathing Berry is a member of the royal family.
Bake Off fever has clearly taken hold of children as well as adults with more than half of those questioned admitting that they would rather spend their money on something baking related than a new toy or an activity.

Some 70 per cent claimed they would rather spend quality baking time with their father than any other family member.
The survey was conducted ahead of tomorrow’s semi-final which will see Nadiya Jamir Hussain, Tamal Ray, Flora Shedden and Ian Cumming battle it out to bake their way into next week’s final.
