Power couple sell relaxing retreat
Philip Gould, Tony Blair's favourite focus group pollster, has sold his four-bedroom weekend retreat in touristy Lavenham, Suffolk. The Georgian property, scene of many New Labour gatherings, was for sale at £750,000. Bon viveur Gould and his wife, Random House supremo Gail Rebuck, one of London's busiest power couples, will spend more time at their north London town house.

Dimbleby break-up's up Notting Hill home
The break-up of TV personality Jonathan Dimbleby's 36-year marriage to writer Bel Mooney is likely to result in the sale of their five-storey Notting Hill home. They could expect to receive "around £2 million" for their four-bedroom corner property, according to one local agent. The cause of the rift was the Any Questions? star's relationship with the late opera singer Susan Chilcott. The Dimblebys, who have two children, will continue to share their 550-acre organic farm near Bath.

Party mansion goes on the market
Rock'n'roll antics once disturbed the Victorian calm of 12 Tregunter Road in Chelsea when Rod Stewart's party-loving ex-manager Billy Gaff owned it. As well as the Tartan Terror and his various girlfriends, Gaff's guests included Freddie Mercury and Elton John. Now the five-bedroom, white stucco mansion is for sale at £5.25 million through Russell Simpson. One relic from the Gaff years is a large double-height conservatory leading to a walled garden.
