Bill Bailey reassures fans he is not dead

Bill Bailey has reassured fans that he is not dead.

The comedian, 52, put fans’ fears to rest after he posted a picture of what appears to be a headline announcing his death.

Bailey joked that fans who had booked tickets to his stand-up gigs in Stevenage will not be left disappointed as he is more than alive and well.

Alongside the picture of the headline he posted: “Just FYI I am not dead so this will not affect the Stevenage gigs.”

Fans made light of the tweet with one joking: “Sorry Bill, there's been tributes. Makes it official.”

Another poked fun at Stevenage, posting: “I put out the same rumour when I'm due to visit family in Stevenage.”

Bailey recently spoke about his death and joked that he would like a Viking send-off as opposed to a funeral.

"I wouldn't mind my body being set out to sea in a Viking longship and burnt."

He also revealed he would like to be remember in a chapel by the sea with Talking Heads’ Once In A Lifetime and the anthem Jerusalem played.

The Never Mind the Buzzcocks panelist is currently performing across the UK as part of his Limboland Tour.
